Desert Bugs · Desert 8 species From drops
Desert bugs have no separate spawn pool: break open desert larva, desert oil drums, large desert cocoons, and tentacle ferns for a chance to release them; you can also obtain the corresponding bugs by picking up drops after defeating 1-star creatures (such as Rock Monsters).
Spawn pools
Butterflies and cave bugs refresh in regional spawn pools every 24 game hours. Each pool spawns at most one creature per refresh, with a 5% chance of a 1-star creature (a more dangerous variant).
| Spawn pool | Region | Random outcomes | Respawn |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cave Glowbug Pool 1View spawn page → | Cave | 24 game hours≈ 14.4 min | |
| Cave Glowbug Pool 2View spawn page → | Cave | 24 game hours≈ 14.4 min | |

Desert Bugs don't use the pool system here; see the previous section for how to get them.

Give to Wanderers
All insects can be given as gifts. In-game tip: “Want to make a Wanderer stay? Chat with them often; sometimes you will also need to do them a small favor, like catching a few butterflies for them.”
