Huge ores and drills

Huge ores like rock piles, ore piles and amethyst trees cannot be broken with a pickaxe (hardness 99): use drill-type tools to mine them slowly — roughly 1 output every 60 seconds (amethyst trees: 30 seconds).

Clear the area fast with bombs

Bombs deal massive damage to nearby resources and creatures and are ideal for clearing clusters of ore nodes.

Potions and dishes

Mining Potion: "Increase Mining DMG". Potion Workstation:Ore Garlic ×3Amethyst ×3 → ×3, sells for 18.

Cooking bonuses: mining damage up to +300 (lasts 300 sec, many sources); Roasted Mushroom and Tough Mushroom grant mining speed bonuses (+1000 / +500, lasts 20 sec), plus plenty of long-duration dishes at +150. See the full list in Effects page.
